About the Role
Investigate allegations related to domestic violence, sexual assault, gambling, performance-enhancing substances, and other violations of baseball rules and policies that affect the integrity of the game
Conduct interviews throughout the United States and in the Dominican Republic, and occasionally in other countries
Draft detailed investigative reports, interview summaries, and other documentation related to significant investigations, and edit the written work product of others
Review and analyze English and Spanish language documents, text messages, emails, and legal filings
Work with analysts to gather and analyze publicly available information, including government records, social media, and news reports
Liaise with local, state, and federal law enforcement entities about ongoing investigations
Assist with reporting hotline management, including maintaining vendor relationships and issue response
Conduct legal research
Assist Clubs with certain internal investigations
Provide legal support to other MLB departments as needed
