About the Role
Position Overview
Responsible for assisting with confidential and highly sensitive investigations related to players, umpires, and baseball personnel as directed.
Major Responsibilities
Assist with investigations into allegations related to performance-enhancing substances, domestic violence, sexual assault, gambling, off-field misconduct, and other violations of baseball rules and policies
Gather and analyze publicly available information, including government records, social media, and news reports
Review and analyze English and Spanish language documents, text messages, emails, and legal filings
Transcribe and translate information from Spanish to English
Monitor and develop alerts for media, relevant court filings, and social media updates
Secure and preserve data and publicly available information
Maintain database records and logs of investigative activities
Prepare and assist investigators for witness interviews, including preparing exhibits and binders
Draft detailed investigative reports, interview summaries, and other documentation related to significant investigations
Process and organize data, including developing spreadsheets to compare and summarize information collected from different sources
Collect and organize package logs, compliance forms, and other documents and information provided by Major League and Minor League Clubs, serving as the point of contact for Clubs
Assist Clubs with certain internal investigations as directed
Perform related duties as required
