About the Role
THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it
The Counsel Manager will join the Commercial Legal Team focusing on drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts, providing advice to the marketing team on advertising law and intellectual property issues, advising on privacy issues in commercial agreements, and assisting with corporate governance. This role will report to a Counsel Sr. Director.
THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play
Draft and negotiate a high volume of commercial and general enterprise contracts including agreements with vendors and suppliers.
Compose contest rules and promotion terms and conditions.
Advise the business on compliance with state and federal marketing and intellectual property laws.
Support business teams and legal colleagues in reviewing and negotiating data processing agreements and information security schedules with third parties.
Assist with corporate governance and entity licensing matters.
Build close relationships with personnel at supported business operations and obtain and maintain a strong knowledge of the product and objectives of those operations.
Provide sound business judgment, confidence, a sense of ownership, drive, comfort making tough calls where the answer is not clear, and an aptitude to learn quickly the nuances of the internet, technology and media businesses.
