About the Role
Major Responsibility:
Assume primary responsibility for legal and regulatory privacy compliance, including advising business and marketing clients on consumer privacy and data security issues, managing updates to NBA privacy policy, and overseeing outside counsel
Work with information technology and cybersecurity groups to develop and implement cybersecurity policies, including coordinating tabletop exercises and updates to NBA's cyber-incident response plan
Assist other members of the Legal Department to negotiate and draft data-related provisions of commercial agreements
Support Global Partnerships business, with focus on merchandising and retail partnerships (on behalf of NBA, WNBA, G-League, NBA2KL, BAL and USAB)
Negotiate and draft product license, premium, service and operator agreements with manufacturers, vendors and retailers
Advise on-court branding group on IP, contract and other legal issues in connection with NBA's on-court products and programs
Negotiate and draft technology vendor service agreements
Perform special projects and other assignments as requested by Legal Department senior staff

About the Company
This position will provide legal and business support to the NBA's Global Partnerships group and provide cross-departmental support on consumer privacy and data security matters. The position will report to the Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Global Partnerships and Team Marketing and Business Operations.
