Overview:

This associate will be a member of the Legal Department based in Dallas, Texas, and will be responsible for all legal aspects of the company’s global franchise program. The position will advise the company’s executive and business teams on international development and franchise matters, brand expansion and other cross-border regulatory and compliance matters. Responsibilities will include reviewing, negotiating, and managing all global commercial contracts, including development agreements and franchise agreements.

Responsibilities:

Possess a working knowledge of franchise laws and regulations in each applicable jurisdiction
Oversee and execute the annual review and registration of the company’s franchise disclosure document and operating manual
Manage outside legal counsel as needed and ensure legal compliance across the franchise program
Understand and protect the business objectives and risk sensitivities of the company
Execute other projects and duties within the Legal Department as required
